Positive Discipline certified Parenting Coach

Danielle Bettmann is a Positive-Discipline certified coach for parents of strong-willed kids age 1-7. She guides parents to cultivate cooperation, extend their patience and get on the same page through 1:1 + group coaching.

I left teaching in classrooms to home visit for Save the Children because what happens at home is what wires kids. Parents are doing the most influential work, often breaking generational cycles, with no training, no manual, no village, and no guarantees (in a pandemic no less).

A teacher by trade and a coach by strengths, my passion is to be a translator between adult + child, helping parents crack the code of their child's personality and find sanity + strategies. I help parents build strong, connected relationships with their kids so they look forward to coming home for Christmas!

When both parenting partners make the commitment and invest in their family, they learn together, use new shared language, and back each other up as a team.

I am the *best* at teaching how to be KIND + FIRM at the same time, how to actually validate your child's emotions, and understand what's going on in their head.

What sets me apart is building very strong relationships with my clients, teaching with analogies so parents can relate, over-delivering, and personalizing feedback.

I started my podcast, Failing Motherhood, after realizing how prevalent the feeling of *failing* at motherhood and the fear of screwing up our kids was, but also realizing every mom that felt that was felt like they were the only one. It's already over 50K Downloads.

Topics I'd love to talk about include:
1) Surviving your strong-willed child - How to transform your relationship by cracking the code of their personality
2) Parenting on the SAME PAGE - Ways to navigate the divide between parenting partners + why it's not happening for you YET
3) Writing your Family Business Plan - Treat your family like an organization and take the structure + intentionality you bring to work - HOME. Conversational exercises that identify your family's end goals, core values, mission statement and more.
