Caroline Sumners is the president & founder of Empower Academic Coaching, a holistic academic and coaching support program for middle & high schoolers that focuses on developing the whole student through customized strategies. A former middle & high school science & English teacher, Caroline was inspired to start her company when she saw how little time there was in the classroom setting to teach effective strategies for learning rather than just content. Caroline loves helping students, especially neurodivergent ones, take control of their academic goals, strengthen their executive function skills, and gain confidence by providing a space where they learn alternative solutions and strategies not typically taught in a school setting. She also loves helping families reduce the tension around school and create more peace at home. Caroline & her team have now supported over 170 families through individual student coaching & parent trainings. Caroline lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her wife and 2 dogs.
